Michael Shirtz shares the music and stories that have influenced him in BLUE SKIES. Based on his album, the show chronicles Shirtz's career as an artist with the music of jazz, the big bands, blues, R&B, and more. Filled with conversations, multimedia, and musical tributes that reach out to all ages highlighting tributes to the Torch Singers, Broadway, and entertainers like Ella, Sinatra, Dave Brubeck, Miles Davis, and more. An Evening with Michael Shirtz
This program presents new interpretations and arrangements of the Great American Songbook, traditional jazz standards, and performances of Michael's compositions. Special highlights focus on conversations between songs and Shirtz’s duets showcasing the members of the band. Pending the venue and location, special guests may join Michael in performance. Perfect as either a club show, main stage act, or with symphony or pops orchestras. (Approx: 75-90 Minutes or two 45 minute sets; show is developed for performances/bookings with symphony orchestra.)
An Evening with Maureen McGovern and Michael Shirtz
The show features a look back on the career of award-winning Broadway and recording artist Maureen McGovern. Highlighting songs from the 60s/70s and timeless hits such as The Morning After and Can You Read My Mind, Maureen
delights audiences with her stories, songs and a night of memories. Together the two pay tribute to legends like Ella Fitzgerald and Mel Torme, and others that defined the music of the late 20th century. A main stage act or with symphony or pops orchestras. As We've Learned It
Michael Shirtz's As We've Learned It pays tribute to the great composers and legendary performers that define the landscapes of America's entertainment industry in the 20th Century. From the music of Irving Berlin and Duke Ellington, through the struggles of the Great Depression and World War II, up through the sounds of Rock n' Roll, Motown, and the Singer-Songwriter era, audience goers will experience an exciting show celebrating a 100 years of music in 90 minutes. (Approx: 90 Minutes or two 45 minute sets; show is developed for performances/bookings with symphony orchestra.)
In Finding Faith
This concert reflects great hymns of faith and songs of inspiration. A spiritual program, IN FINDING FAITH tells Michael's story of overcoming life's challenges and shares stories of faith, humanity and strength of the human spirit.
