Shirtz begins with The Symphony Chorale
Michael Shirtz joined the Firelands Symphony this fall as the conductor of the new Symphony Chorale. The Symphony Chorale made their premiere during the Opening Night Concert of the Firelands Symphony on October 6 where Shirtz conducted the orchestra and chorale in performances of Bach and Beethoven. The Symphony Chorale then hosted LIFT's Reformation Choral Festival on October 29 where they performed Bach's Cantata #80 "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God" and then joined the festival chorus in songs of faith. The chorale will sing with the FSO on the Holiday Spectacular December 10 and then present Brahms Requiem on March 25, Polvesten Dances with FSO on April 22, and Memorial Day Services at Lakeside Chautauqua.
